Workshops

The idea of developing workshops for scholars on the broad field of academic and science communication goes back over twenty years.

I repeatedly noticed similar problems when non-native speakers of English communicated in English, and so I began to create concepts based on what I call the “character” of the English language and the Anglo-Saxon standards of successful scientific communi­cation.

Initially, I mainly supported social scientists but now scholars from various disciplines seek my assistance. Today, I work with scholars from fields ranging from archaeology to astrophysics. Despite their differences, basic stylistic elements apply across all disciplines.

The workshops are designed so that participants can immediately apply my input to their current research. They are always conducted in a concen­trated yet relaxed atmosphere.
