About me

Dr. Kimberly A. Crow

I am a German-American social scientist and specialize in assisting scholars who wish to improve their academic communication skills. After majoring in sociology and minoring in psychology and social psychology, I worked in sociological and economic research institutes and then went on to receive my PhD in political science.

Based on over 20 years of coaching and mentoring experience, I have developed approaches that show immediate effects with little effort.

The services I offer focus on various aspects of (intercultural) academic communication, such as successful publishing, preparing for grant applications or job interviews, intercultural teaching and collaboration as well as PhD mentoring, to name a few.

All offers are tailormade and address junior and senior researchers from a broad range of natural and social sciences as well as the humanities.

My customers include scholars from renown research institutes, universities, and graduate centers. In conjunction with my freelance work, I wrote a number of books: “The Art of Academic Storytelling” “The Art of English Academic Writing”, and “The Art of Captivating Academic Presenting”.

For my German audience I wrote the book “Englisch in Siebenmeilenstiefeln. Eine Entdeckungsreise” that gives unexpected insights into what makes English English.
